"Orchids All Around Us "

“Orchids All Around Us”, is a combination of native orchids, conservation, and culture demonstration. Jean will introduce us to orchids and talk about them with her PowerPoint presentation. She will identify NH native orchids as well as flowers that some people have mistakenly called orchids.

During the hands-on portion, she will teach us how to buy, re-pot, and care for an orchid. If you bring in orchids that you are having trouble with, she will assess and give care instructions to bring it back to health.

Please let Jean know if you know of, or have orchids that live in the woods near you. She is sharing this program in hopes we can help in locating and tracking more native orchid species.!

Jean is an Educator and Naturalist, semi-retired, whose interests include orchids, native habitats, and conservation. She has traveled extensively worldwide, eco-volunteering and often presenting talks to groups.
