HISTORY - The Mountain Garden Club was established in 1973 and is a Federated member of the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs – District I, National Garden Clubs, Inc.& New England Garden Clubs, Inc.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
MEETING SCHEDULE - the club meets on Mondays, once a month, from September to June. Please refer to the website calendar for the meeting schedule. There are no meetings in the summer months to allow members to devote time to Valley Beautification Sites (VBS), other special projects, and especially their own gardens.
PROGRAMS — presented at the monthly meeting provide educational opportunities for members on a varying number of subjects from a wide variety of experts in their respective fields.
MEMBERSHIP — is open to all residents (male & female) in the cities and townships, which collectively make up the region known as Mount Washington Valley. Dues are $25 per year for Active Members. Total membership at the present time is 145 members.
GEOGRAPHIC AREA –Currently, our members come from the New Hampshire towns of: Albany, Bartlett, Center Conway, Conway, Eaton, Effinghame, Freedom, Glen, Hales Location, Intervale, Jackson, Kearsarge, Madison, North Conway, as well as Fryeburg, Sweden, and Cumberland in Maine.
ACTIVITIES - True to our mission statement - we are actively engaged in roadside beautification, environmental education and conservation in the Valley in our Environmental and Civic Improvement Projects.
