It was a warm July day which threatened rain but never did. Wendy McVey graciously hosted the New Member Welcome Tea at her home in Jackson, NH. Because of COVID, it had been awhile since we greeted new members with this type of event, so it was wonderful to get together again. The MG BOD welcomed seventeen (17) new members who had joined since September 2000 till now.

John Bruni, as Planning Chair, discussed the makeup of the club and how it is organized. He distributed handouts which depicts the organizational structure and its relationship to each of the Board and Committee positions. Each member also received a booklet which described the positions, projects and events that members volunteer for.

It was also an opportunity to meet each of the new members and for them to meet each of the Board and understand a bit about ourselves.

It was a lovely time and lots of good food and beverages was passed around. Everyone came away from the event happy to have had the time to socialize
