"Fragrant Gardens"

Betty Sanders - Master Gardener, Public Speaker

The Preserve at Chocorua, Tamworth, NH

Time: 10:30 am

Most of us enjoy fragrant flowers. But not all flowers are fragrant. We’ll explore a wide variety of annuals, perennials, tree and shrubs that deliver on the promise of wonderful scents as well as beauty, and learn why a “rose is not always a rose to the nose.”

Betty is a Lifetime Master Gardener with the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association. A nationally accredited Master flower show judge, she has studied gardening everywhere from Arnold Arboretum to the NY Botanical Garden, the NE Wildflower Society. She holds a degree in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has lectured at the NE Spring Flower Show, the Boston Flower & Garden Show, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, the Boston Public Library, Tower Hill Botanical Garden and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
