Modern Hostas are the most popular perennial for the shade garden as well as for some sunnier locations. With their amazing colors, sizes, textures and flowering habits, hostas are absolutely indispensable in the garden as well as in planters and rock gardens.

Sue Andersen is the owner of Mason Hollow Nursery located in Mason, NH and in operation since 2001. Sue is a former NH Master Gardener and former President of the New England Hosta Society.

Mason Hollow is a perennial plant nursery specializing in hostas, offering 700+ varieties as well as a fine selection of companion shade perennials. The selection includes ferns, ornamental grasses and specialty conifers, trees and shrubs suited for the novice gardener as well as collectors. Sue will speak on the history of hostas, growing, propagating, diseases affecting hostas as well as planting in the shade garden with companion perennials.
