December 2016 - Holiday Boutique Workshop
MGC Members busy as Santa's Elves

On a very clear but snowy Monday morning, December 5th, 2016, the Mountain Garden Club held an interactive,"hands on" workshop for all members. Open to every skill level, members created the items that were sold at the Holiday Boutique.

Eighteen wreaths were designed, donated and delivered by MGC to adorn selected public buildings throughout the Valley. After that, the more experienced members provided instruction to new members on how to create arrangements, boxwood trees, centerpieces and other decorations with fresh greens. There was a large additional item which was created outside of the workshop for sale at the boutique. It was a Ski Lodge styled birdhouse lovingly built by member Ralph Lutjen during the summer months.

This was an opportunity for everyone to share their skills and energy in creating beautiful, one of a kind items. It was a great learning and sharing experience for all involved. We lost count of how many members attended but the Community Center was filled with MGC Elves creating beautiful items for the "Holiday Elegance" Holiday Boutique on Saturday, December 10th, 2016!
